Brooklyn NY - Police say they’ve arrested a man after his wife’s body was found decomposing in a Brooklyn bedroom. The NYPD said Wednesday that Ronald Friedfertig faces charges of second-degree murder and weapon possession.
The name of his attorney was not immediately known.
A 911 caller complained of a foul odor coming from the Midwood apartment on Monday night. Yevonne Gefner had apparently been dead for a couple of weeks.
The NYPD says the 57-year-old victim had head trauma and also had been stabbed in the back.
Authorities said previously that the husband claimed his wife had been casting evil spells on him
